2008 CISM Review Course

The purpose of this three-day review course is to prepare CISM exam participants to successfully pass the CISM exam. The instructor will provide formal class presentation/facilitation as well as one-on-one assistance as needed.

Time: Classes start at 12:30 pm on Friday and at 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday's sessions will run approximately until 5:00 pm and Sunday's will finish up around Noon.

The Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) review course by the San Francisco Chapter is designed to assist candidates in preparing for the CISM Examination to be administered on three consecutive days (November 14 - 16 ). The Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) review course by the San Francisco Chapter is designed to assist candidates in preparing for the CISM Examination to be administered on Saturday, December 13, 2008. The CISM review course consists of a four hour session on Friday afternoon, an eight hour session on Saturday and another four hour session on Sunday. The course will include lectures, practice questions, classroom discussions, and a practice exam. Instructors are experienced security professionals from various companies including  Deloitte & Touche.

Course Materials

The course instructor strongly recommends participants purchase the 2008 CISM Review Manual.  While the instructor provides additional materials, the manual is used as the course guide.  Purchase the Review Manual at the ISACA bookstore.

Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring laptop computers to the class.   While computers are not required, the instructor will be sharing some materials electronically, and laptops may be handy on site.

Repeat CISM Review Course Students:  Course fee will be waived one time for repeat candidates who attended prior CISM Review Course(s) sponsored by the San Francisco chapter. It is SF-ISACA's policy to permit previous CISM Review Course students who did not pass the CISM exam to attend the following year's CISM Review Course at no cost; however, the candidates will be responsible to purchase their own review manuals and other study materials.
