DESCRIPTION

Learn about the new ISACA Governance Certification: With so many certifications to choose from, Why is it important and “What’s in it for me” as an IT Audit Professional? Become familiar with the ISACA/IT Governance Institute products that will form the core of the Governance Body of Knowledge - ValIT and CobiT.  There will be a very brief overview and lots of references and pointers for more information.


Learn how the presenter has leveraged the CobiT process framework and job aids to align IT Strategy with IT execution - in a closed loop management feedback system.  Hear how audit findings provide transparency into strategy and execution using CobiT and ValIT.


The participant will learn more about:

•ISACA’s new CGEIT – Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT - what’s in it for me” as an IT Audit Professional.

•An overview of ValIT.

•How to apply CobiT as a process framework to enable Governance.


•How CobiT relates to ValIT to form a closed loop management feedback system.

•How to use CobiT and ValIT to translate Audit Findings into Management feedback using language that Management understands.

Motorola SEI CMM Assessor and SEI CMMI Assessor.
ISACA and IT Governance Institute COBIT V4.0 Working Group member. Project Manager Process Consultant for Kaiser Permanente’s 5000 person-strong IT organization serving the largest and original Health Maintenance Organization in the United States. Early adopter of organizational change methods, metrics and capability maturity models to facilitate technology and methodology transitions. Engaging storyteller and insightful coach and teacher, repeatedly been invited to advise, speak, collaborate, and publish. Throughout her career she has focused on business, engineering, and IT system control and performance improvements applying expertise in people, process, technology, and financial systems.  Her experience ranges across industries and organizations including: Kaiser Permanente, Motorola, Hewlett Packard, Sybase, Personal CAD Systems/Altium and NASA.  Her specialty is strategic capability improvement for enterprises making the transition to the information age.
